Cookie policy in accordance with European law

1. DEFINITION OF COOKIES
Cookies are files that are downloaded onto internet browsing devices (such as PCs, tablets, smartphones and similar devices) when you access a web page or an application such as ours.
Cookies make it possible to store and retrieve information on various matters, from the user’s browsing habits to recognising whether they have previously registered, so as to recognise them as a customer.
The information obtained relates to the number of pages visited, the language, the place of access, the number of new users, the frequency and repetition of visits, the duration of the visit, and the browser or type of device from which the connection is made.

2. COOKIES USED BY THIS SITE

Technical and session cookies:
Cookies of this type are essential for some areas of the site to work. They are divided into persistent cookies and session cookies. Persistent ones, once the browser is closed, remain until a preset expiry date, while session ones are destroyed as soon as the browser is closed.

Since without such cookies the site might not work correctly in whole or in part, they are always used, regardless of the user’s preferences.
The cookies in this category are always sent from our domain.

List of cookies used:
_utma / _utmz / _ga / _gat
Cookies used by the third-party service Google Analytics. They serve solely to identify users who visit the website (they contain identifiers).

Cookies used by the third-party service ShinyStat. They serve solely to identify users who visit the website and are already anonymised.

ASP.NET_SessionID
Cookie used by ASP.NET to keep track of the session

Profiling cookies:
Profiling cookies create profiles of the specific user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences the user has shown while browsing online. They are perceived as more invasive of users’ privacy, and for this reason European and Italian law requires that the user be adequately informed about their use and thus give valid consent, as stated in art. 122 of the Privacy Code, which provides that “the storage of information on a subscriber’s or user’s terminal equipment, or access to information already stored, is permitted only on condition that the subscriber or user has given consent after being informed by the simplified means referred to in article 13(3) of the Privacy Code”.
This site does not use profiling cookies, but there are third-party services, such as specific plug-ins or sharing functions, that may use them. For more information we recommend reading the following section on third-party cookies, and consulting their usage policies directly.

Third-party cookies:

Third-party analytics cookies
These cookies collect anonymous information about users’ use of the Site: pages visited, time spent, traffic sources, geographic origin, age, gender and interests, in order to allow marketing campaigns to be implemented. These cookies are sent from third-party domains, and therefore external to this Site.

Cookies to integrate third-party software products and functions
These cookies allow third-party functions to be integrated within the pages of this Site, such as the ability to express preferences or share content on social networks, and to use third-party software services (for example, software to generate maps). These cookies are sent from third-party domains and from partner sites that offer their functions among the pages of the Site.
